The person you gave your heart to just cheated on you, your boss has dumped on you (yet again), the driver in front just cut you up or worse... You’re fuming and justifiably so, right?
Well yes, maybe!
It’s human to feel anger, but to hold onto it can literally eat us up.

Do you ever get the feeling that something is holding you back in life?
I began my yoga journey in my 40th year and am very appreciative of its benefits.
Many years ago, I’d been living what I’d thought was the ‘right life’. I was in a corporate dream job and living with the man I’d thought of as my dream man. Then I realized I was living in someone else’s dream.
Is Stress Giving You The Blues? Are you feeling stressed? Are you always tired, overwhelmed, or feeling depressed? Do you wake up still tired, unable to think straight in the morning without caffeine, need high-carb snacks, more caffeine, or a nap to get through the afternoon? Do you feel desperate for the energy you once had?
I grew up in a home that was far from ordinary. My friends jokingly referred to it as Willy Wonka’s factory on crack. My mailbox was shaped like a big pink heart; there was purple trim around the outside of the house; every post on the walkway to my front door and every cabinet in the kitchen was a different pastel color.

When we are feeling stuck or unmotivated in our lives, there is always reason(s) for this. When this happens it's a great time to notice what's going on and move energy both in our body and lives. This is when we may (un)consciously reach for our "crutch" or support - oftentimes this can be anything that suppresses feelings and common habits are indulging in excess food, coffee, work, alcohol or drugs.
Love, I think, is a sustained openness to another person.
So I've spent the last month challenging my students to rid themselves of their past stories. A conversation one would normally hear, during an episode on Oprah's Life Class or a Tony Robins Breakthrough capture, but now appropriately placed front and center on the mat.
Yoga holds the power to transform.
The first few breaths ( years) are bliss, then all of a sudden your holding your breath (and biting your tongue)
In the midst of a painting project over the weekend, I found myself in a rather sticky situation requiring the use of my left hand to finish the job.
